There’s nothing wrong with asking a question
Don’t be shy; we don’t bite! We do get asked a lot of questions throughout the day, so hopefully we’ve managed to answer them below for you.
However, if you’re extra special and have thought of something we haven’t addressed, then please do get in touch with us.

We are all highly passionate and driven team with huge aspirations to change the world one child at a time. Our team of certified Kids Life Studio® Coaches come from diverse backgrounds but everybody has previous formal qualification of some sort.
Our team is made up of professionals such as Psychologists, Teachers, Therapists, Social Workers, Doctors and adult Life Coaches who have blended their formal learning and life experiences with our proven Kids Life Coaching model.
Our global network of certified Kids Life Studio® Coaches that have been handpicked to be part of our organisation. Before enrolling as students our coaches are screened by completing an online application that amongst other things highlights their previous experience with children and qualifications already obtained. They are then involved in a face to face interview where they go through a further process of answering questions to see if they are a good fit for our organisation.
Once accepted, they have to produce a Police Clearance Check from their country of origin to indicate that they have no prior criminal record. They are also required to produce a First Aid Certificate. These checks are all renewable on an annual basis.
Before they join us, all of our certified Kids Life Studio® Coaches already have an established foundation and have shown us evidence of previous learning that may relate to any or all of the following fields: education, psychology, coaching.
To become a certified Kids Life Studio® Coach, they undergo rigorous training that involves research that is based on the 6 theories of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Social Psychology, Positive Psychology, Emotional Intelligence and Life Coaching.
They are also allocated a mentor that supports them through their 200 hours of learning where they need to submit assignments relating to their training. They also produce a final portfolio of evidence of their competence working with children prior to certification by participating in a case study.
They also need to submit a monthly report that counts towards renewing their affiliation with us so that we can continuously maintain standards and track progress.
All of our students are enrolled in an extensive combination of live and online training through our Kids Life Coach Academy school which includes submitting numerous practical assignments and a final case study.
In this training, they also do extensive research into the both the theory and the practical aspects of coaching children which is based on proven methods that have been used since 2003.
When our coaches undergo their training, they are also allocated a Master Coach to support them during this time. This personalised relationship driven service removes from the impersonal nature of online training and keeps them on track. We also pair up students to work together as accountability buddies.
On a monthly basis, all of our Kids Life Studio® certified coaches participate in professional development training that is hosted by our founder, Zelna Lauwrens.
The benefit of our affiliate concept is that whilst we give the training, tools and support to set up a Kids Life Coaching practice, our coaches are not confined by the restrictions of a traditional franchise. With the support of our strong brand presence, we give the flexibility to choose where, when and how they would like to assist children. This means that they can adapt this to suit the needs of their community and they can integrate it into their existing business.
All of our Kids Life Studio® certified coaches aim to specialise in a niche area so that they can position themselves as subject matter experts and provide the best possible service and value to clients. Self development is mandatory for our coaches and we all undergo ongoing in-house professional development training on a monthly basis.
We don’t just train our coaches and send them on their way to work in isolation – we take great pride in having a network of collective wisdom that we tap into on a daily basis through our global coach support network. So problems are solved collectively and new perspectives are easily gained when working with children.
All of our certified Kids Life Studio® Coaches have been screened and interviewed before they join our organisation and because of this we can assure you that their calibre is high. Our team is only made up of highly dedicated professionals who support children unconditionally.
Each coach will be a subject specialist in a particular niche area so if you feel your child would benefit from added support relating to their speciality, then that could be a deciding factor for you.
We believe in the value of relationships and for this reason, we offer a no obligation telephonic consultation where you can see if the Kids Life Coach is a good “fit” for your child. We recommend you ask as many questions as you can so that you can set your mind at ease before making the decision.
We can assure you that no matter which coach you choose, you will always be given the same world-class service where your child is at the centre of the relationship.
In 2003, after extensive research, our founder Zelna Lauwrens realised that there was no life coaching model that was suitable for children. So she took the best parts of well established, researched and respected psychological and scientific theories and created a programme that children can easily understand and apply.
Currently there are many certified Adult coaches who choose to work with children by applying techniques that were originally developed for the adult psyche and are not suitable for getting the best out of the younger mind.
We use developmentally appropriate tools and activities that children are easily able to understand, apply and internalise. Children tend to live very much in the moment and our concrete activities and measurable short-term progress is something that feels more tangible and relevant to them.
All of our certified Kids Life Studio® coaches have also undergone extensive training and research into the Psychology of Childhood and have a solid foundation of knowledge that relates specifically to how children think, learn, act and behave.
We tell parents that they may have insurance for their vehicles, homes and lives. Kids Life Coaching is like having “insurance” for children. We don’t want anything to go wrong but we know that life is about overcoming inevitable obstacles and facing problems. Kids Life Coaching gives peace of mind that your child will be able to deal with their current and future situation positively by making good choices.
With so many external influences beyond your control, a Kids Life Coach can support your child to build a foundation for healthy mental well-being that will result in them making good choices even when you aren’t watching. It has been proven that building resilience, emotional intelligence, positivity, confidence and social skills are the keys to being able to cope with life. Kids Life Coaching gives children the tools to take care of their mental health, develop a healthy sense of self and to choose a positive outlook on life.
Life is about a series of choices we make on a daily basis and Kids Life Coaching helps to make these choices easier for your child. Rather than wait until things spiral out of control, we recommend that a parent gets a Kids Life coach for their child to deal with the ups and downs of life as they happen. Kids Life Coaching is about having a neutral adult who is there for unconditional support that gives a child the opportunity to “test drive” life and show their true potential without fear of failure.
We understand that at various times in their lives, children will have different levels of happiness and this is sometimes influenced by external circumstances beyond their control. Whether you are thinking of enrolling your child for one of our Kids Life Coaching programmes because they are experiencing challenges or you are curious as to what may be influencing your child’s behaviour right now, before coming on board, we will fully assess your child’s needs through an online Lifestyle Assessment and a face to face family consultation.
When you participate in this assessment, you will need to set aside approximately 20 – 30 minutes so that you have the time to reflect and accurately provide responses to 250 statements relating to your child’s environmental influences and behaviour. You will do this by using an easy rating scale and your responses will be calculated and converted into a percentage score that acts as a blueprint for creating a measurable plan of action.
After you have completed this Kids Life Studio® Lifestyle Assessment, you will be provided with a graph that will highlight the areas that could benefit from improvement in your child’s life and you will also be guided through some options for action steps that you can take.
We will then recommend a plan of action that is suitable to your child and you can make the decision as to whether this is something that would be of benefit.
Children all over the world are being exposed to a large variety of toxic environmental influences on a daily basis that were not as predominant 20 years ago. The World Health organisation predicts that by 2020 mental health problems in children will increase by 50% and we are already seeing this upswing in the increased suicide rates, bullying, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self harm, promiscuity, drug and alcohol abuse.
These are all side-effects of a young person’s internal world that is uncontrolled and lacking in self regulation. Everything that children reflect in their negative behaviour is telling us a story and is showing us that they have an unmet need or that they are lacking in the skills to make better choices.
Your child would benefit from coaching even if they are not yet showing any major problems that may be of concern to you. We recommend that every child attends coaching so that they don’t become part of the statistics and they can build lasting lifestyle habits that ensure their positive mental health.
We understand that all negative side effects in a child’s life is a sign of an unmet need. Our tagline is “Where choices are made easy” and we empower children to become the leaders of their own lives by offering them access to a powerful toolkit which is easy to understand and use. When they feel empowered, children are able to look beyond their problems and make positive choice
Our specially formulated Kids Life Coaching Programmes offer the essential Ingredients, to help to re-engineer bad habits into good habits through structured daily activities that lay the foundation for lasting change. These activities are based on forming new neural pathways in the brain which will ultimately overrule the old faulty belief systems. This results in better lifestyle choices and positive outcomes.
Our unique coaching model is easily adapted and integrated across a broad spectrum and caters for all demographics, religions and cultures and backgrounds. We believe in long-term sustainable results and we offer a foundation coaching programme with follow up building blocks extra mural programmes and ongoing workshops to ensure your child’s success.
Our solutions are proactive rather than reactive and we achieve measurable results because we fully assess every child before we recommend a plan of action.
We provide a welcome break to the formal pressures of school where emphasis is on academic achievement. Children love to play and they have the need to be stimulated in fresh innovative ways that move away from the traditional pencil and paper methods. It also creates a much needed place of ‘belonging’ where stability, consistency, calm and good role models are the norm.
Unlike traditional coaching in the adult arena, our Kids Life Coaching Model takes the unique needs of children into consideration. One of the secrets behind our Coaching Model is to work from the heart and to keep everything practical and tangible. This creates a coaching experience that is based on “out of the box” thinking, which appeals to the child’s inherent playful nature.
Our structured Kids Life Coaching programme builds a foundation for long-term success and they further reinforce this with Building Blocks programmes and maintenance workshops. At the Kids Life Studio®, our global network of certified Kids Life Coaches provide tailor-made coaching programmes to suit the needs of your child. Rather than focus purely on the problem at hand, we fully assess all areas in your child’s life so that we can focus on creating positive lifestyle habits that create lasting change.
We have a 10-step coaching process that ensures that your child will show positive results after working with one of our Kids Life Studio® Certified Coaches
- Step #1: Impact – We spend time getting to know every parent even before they become our clients by having an in depth no obligation telephonic consultation to find out what may be impacting on their child
- Step #2: Assess – Before we commit to coaching a child, we ask parents to complete our online Kids Life Studio® Lifestyle Assessment so that we can get a snapshot and graphical representation of where their child may need support.
- Step #3: Consult – After we have analysed the assessment we may feel it necessary to invite parents and their child in for a family consultation to get to know them further. In this time, we ask the child for their input by doing an informal questionnaire based on our findings in the original assessment.
- Step #4: Evaluate – After our consultation, we offer tailor-made recommendations based on our overall evaluation. This could include being involved in an individual coaching programme or group coaching programme. We will always recommend the best plan of action suited to the child.
- Step #5: Refer – We work alongside teachers and other professionals to formulate a plan of action that is sustainable for the child. We only work with children that fall within the preventative or behavioural category and we refer them on for therapeutic intervention if we assess them to need this prior to coaching. We successfully work alongside psychologists in a non invasive way because we focus on skills training/coaching.
- Step #6: Act – Parents and their children commit to signing a coaching contract that lays down the expectations for the coaching programme. Signing this promise empowers the child to stick to the programme and is one of the key factors to their success.
- Step #7: Plan – We formulate goals according to the child’s needs and we put together a tailor-made toolkit that the child will take home to use after each coaching session. Our goal setting process is unique since we meet the needs of the child, parents and the school.
- Step #8: Coach – The child sees us for 4 x 45 minute weekly sessions. In these sessions, we lay the foundation for becoming the leader of their own life. They are involved in mindset work through the use of role play, games, activities, crafts and lots of fun play. Tangible tools are sent home at the end of each coaching session to reinforce the skills learnt.
- Step #9: Maintenance – After the initial foundation coaching programme, we reassess the child and we continue seeing them for a further 4 x 30 minute fortnightly sessions and 4 x 45 minute monthly sessions. This may vary from child to child but we recommend maintaining contact over a 7 month time frame so that we can track progress and reinforce motivation and skills learnt.
- Step #10: Support – After a child had completed their Individual or group coaching programme, they can enrol in any of our building blocks programmes. These consist of a range of 4-week extra mural programmes and 1-day workshops as well as holiday programmes. Motivation is a lifelong process and it is our aim to be on hand to support children in their personal growth unconditionally!
Traditionally when parents are faced with emotional, social or behavioural problems in their child, they may choose to opt for therapy as a mainstream intervention. While therapy certainly has a place when working through psychological issues, trauma, or with diagnosed mental health conditions, it isn’t always the best choice for the child who might simply need some support in dealing with an obstacle they are faced with.
The idea behind therapy is to focus on past traumas and issues to change self-destructive habits, repair and improve relationships and work through painful feelings. In this sense, therapy focuses on the past and on introspection and analysis. Kids Life Coaching is a process which involves clarifying goals and identifying obstacles to success and problematic behaviours in order to create action plans to achieve desired results. It takes the child’s current starting point as an acceptable neutral ground and is more action-based from that point onward.
Our Kids Life Coaches work in collaboration with therapists if the need arises but in some cases we are obliged to refer children if they have:
- an active mental illness (depression, acute anxiety, etc.)
- a substance abuse problem
- Been exposed to abuse of any sort
- Mentioned thoughts of suicide or attempted suicide
We will assess your child’s needs before we commit to coaching them. Our online Lifestyle Assessment helps us to classify your child into three categories: Preventative, Behavioural or Psychological. If your child falls into the preventative or behavioural category we will work in collaboration with their therapist to ensure that we formulate a plan of action that is sustainable for your child.
We successfully work alongside psychologists in a non invasive way because we focus on equipping children with skills to deal with their problems whilst the therapist focuses on processing the underlying issues that have resulted in the behaviour.
At the Kids Life Studio® we have been working tirelessly to change the perception that Kids Life coaching is just for children with problems. We believe that every child no matter their background or circumstance can benefit from a neutral adult who is able to give them unconditional and structured support in a world that can sometimes be tricky to navigate.
Behaviour is made up of four components: acting, thinking, feeling and physiology. No matter what kind of child whether they appear to be high performing or they are under performing, they need to be coached to understand that they only ever have direct control over the acting and thinking components in their lives. Thinking they are not good enough and striving to be better according to society’s standards is a sure way for them to set themselves up for failure.
Let’s face it, because children lack experience and perspective, they tend to make decisions that are impulsive and focused on immediate reward. Often this can get them into trouble or can cause them to be labelled or result in long-term consequences. Children need to be coached on how to more consciously self-evaluate so that the behaviours they choose have the best chance of helping them achieve what they want in ways that are responsible.
Kids Life Coaching is suitable for everyday children with everyday challenges and no matter the problem they are experiencing, with support they will be able to find solutions that show long-term positive results.
Laying the foundation for positive mental well-being should be proactive and not reactive. That is where most people get it wrong by thinking that fixing things is the way to move forward. Although life is about challenges, falling down, overcoming setbacks and finding solutions for problems, if children do not have a foundation in place for dealing with these stressors, the outcome we traditionally see is negative behaviour and low self esteem as an expression of their inner turmoil. Being disconnected is the source of almost all human problems such as mental illness, drug addiction, crime, school failure, violence, abuse. Kids Life Coaching supports children in building the skills they will need to become future well balanced adults able to be positive contributors to society.
The main benefit of your child having their own Kids Life Coach is that there is no emotional attachment involved. Working from a neutral standpoint, the coach is able to objectively find solutions without falling back into past history. Although parents are natural coaches and able to support their children effectively, there is value in having a well educated bystander who understands the Psychology of Childhood. A Kids Life Coach can look at finding new perspectives for overcoming obstacles and give advice based on well researched theory and methodologies that have been proven to work rather than you working through trial and error.
We ask you to complete our online Kids Life Studio® Lifestyle Assessment so that we can understand your child’s unique situation and the underlying factors that may be impacting on their potential so that we can best meet their needs. It helps us to obtain a good overview of where your child’s life may be encountering success or challenges so that we can equip and support them to cope with the ups and downs of life with a positive mindset.
To complete this assessment, you will need to respond to 250 statements using a rating scale of 0 – 3. These statements are divided into 10 categories that focus on:
- Family Dynamics
- Eating Patterns
- Sleeping Patterns
- Physical Well-Being
- Behaviour
- Confidence
- School Environment
- Social skills
- Stress Relating to life
- Toxic environmental influences.
After you have completed this Kids Life Studio® Lifestyle Assessment, you will be provided with a graph that will give you a snapshot of where your child’s life may be out of balance at this moment in time.
Once your child has participated in a Kids Life Studio® Coaching programme, you will be asked to do the assessment again so that we can compare results, review and track improvements.
After we have assessed your child through our online Lifestyle Assessment, we will recommend a tailor-made plan of action based on your child’s needs. If we recommend our foundation Coaching programme, this is held over a 7 month time frame and consists of 4 x 45 minute weekly foundation sessions, 4 x 30 minute fortnightly maintenance sessions and 4 x 30 minute monthly maintenance sessions.
If you enrol in our Family Coaching programme, this takes place over 4 x 2 hour sessions and you will attend in Week 1 & 4 with your child.
We believe that motivation is a lifelong process so we also have 4-week building blocks programmes that focus on various life skills related topics and your child can enrol in any of these once they have participated in the foundation coaching programme. We also have ongoing holiday programmes and 1-day workshops so that you can maintain your child’s success.
Unlike traditional Life Coaching or therapy that charges per hour, we have put together a package that consists of everything that you and your child needs to make sure that they achieve measurable and successful outcomes.
Our global network of coaches all charge independent rates in their own local currency according to their experience. We offer high returns for your investment because we have the most comprehensive quality package that is guaranteed to show results. Since this is an investment in your child, you should assess the results you will be getting over the long-term and how sustainable it is for your child. The emphasis at The Kids Life Studio® is on FUN! The language of childhood is play and “we coach the skills for living a balanced life through constructive play, role play, toys, experiments and games. Our coaching sessions are very interactive and we spend only a small portion of time sitting talking. Children learn through doing so we get them busy throughout their coaching sessions so that they involve all of their senses which ensures maximum transfer of skills learnt.
We also give each child a tangible toolkit bag to take home that reinforces concepts learnt in the sessions. This home based “adventure” ensures follow up and follow through of the skills learnt and assist in long-term results. We never use worksheets because children have enough pressure at school and don’t need extra homework. Children love their coaching sessions because they get to do what they do best and that is play…but at the same time they understand the value because of the high intensity learning that takes place.
When children enrol in our coaching programmes, they don’t just become our clients for a short moment in time. They become part of our Kids Life Studio® family and your child’s Kids Life coach will pay a vested and ongoing interest in your child’s future success.
With the 3 pillars of happiness, motivation and inspiration underpinning their newly acquired Success Mindset, children often request parents to enrol them in future programmes or coaching maintenance sessions because they have learnt the value of ongoing self development from a young age.
Just like a computer, your child’s brain will be effectively “programmed” with the habits and routines that our worlds greatest leaders already implement thus giving them a head start in life. You will have peace of mind that your child can easily make good choices relating to their eating, sleeping, physical activity, leisure time, education and friendships. All of this will be linked to their ability to manage their stress levels which leads to a healthy mental well-being which will reduce their risk factor for becoming part of the negative statistics such as self harm, suicide, promiscuity, drug and alcohol abuse, peer pressure, gangs to name a few.
Extensive groundwork is done in our foundation Coaching programmes on educating children about the physiology of the brain as this creates an understanding of their own thinking patterns and how these influence their actions. The outcome of this Coaching programme is for children to understand the effects of their thinking on their feelings, behaviour and consequences. They learn to make better choices based on making lifestyle decisions that impact positively on their long-term outcomes.
Just like regular exercise builds up healthy bodies our unique Kids Life Coaching programme helps to strengthen a parents body, heart, mind and spirit by following an easy self development process.
When a child participates in sport, they understand the concept of having a sports coach to support them in mastering their techniques and learning the rules of the game. When they understand the rules and they practice, they become better at it and the game becomes more enjoyable.
A Kids Life Coach supports children to understand the rules of life so that they can make good choices and become leaders. We recommend that you speak about great global role models or leaders in your own community and use these as examples of what your child can achieve if they have a coach to support them in building their own success mindset.
Staying connected with your child is probably the best thing you can do during your child’s coaching programme. You can support your child by eating meals around the table together, reducing screen time, helping them building a healthy bedtime and wake up routine and feeding them nutritious meals with plenty of water.
You can use the skills that your child is learning in your own life by being a role model for them. We recommend that you empower your child to take personal responsibility and that you avoid nagging if you feel they aren’t implementing their coaching skills. If you find that your child is lacking in motivation, we urge you to let their coach know so that they can support you in a non invasive way.
We also recommend setting up time for a “family meeting” once a week where you address any issues and strategise together as well as celebrate wins and successes together.
Your child will get a take-home kit bag filled with motivational tools to support and reinforce the skills that they learnt in their coaching sessions. Part of the coaching programme is for your child to use these tools in a home-based programme. You can support them by doing daily check ins to see how their day has gone and what they have experienced through using their tools.
Whilst we understand that your child may be overloaded with school homework, we ask that your child participates in these activities at home. We call these adventure based activities and they will require your child to commit to a minimum of 10 minutes in the evening before bedtime to complete them.
We believe in the value of relationships and our vibrant Kids Life Studio® venues are a welcome break from everyday stresses. Whilst we are able to offer online coaching on request, we only do this in extreme circumstances. We do recommend that your child sees their coach face to face so that they can really experience the true benefit of the activities and games that they will be involved in.
Our coaching sessions are hosted in pop up venues or full time Kids Life Studio® venues where children can relax and enjoy being inspired without judgement or stigma attached. These vibrantly coloured venues are a welcome break from the school and home environment because they are equipped to facilitate maximum personal development in the child. With brightly coloured bean bags instead of tables and chairs, the Kids Life Studio® venue is inviting and conducive to inducing the relaxation response in your child.
Before your child’s first coaching session, you will have a family consultation where your Kids Life Coach will help to prepare your child for their coaching programme. Your child will learn what the programme consists of, they will see their take home kit and they will be orientated as to what can be expected in each session. After this, you can prepare them for their first coaching session by reinforcing what was discussed in this session and to answer any further questions your child may have. You can also go through the information and letter that your child’s coach sends you and perhaps spend time speaking about the outcomes that your child would like to achieve.
We don’t offer trial sessions because we are confident in our programmes, but we have a family consultation before a child commits to coaching so that you can see if the Kids Life Coach is a good fit for them. In this session, we do a few activities that show the child that their programme is going to be fun and non invasive and they get the choice as to whether or not they want to attend the coaching programme. In our experience, when children understand the benefits, they commit to attending.
Taking your child on their Kids Life Coaching journey is about equipping them to be happy, motivated and inspired. The personal outcomes your child will achieve through participating is dependent on their needs identified but the results you can expect include:
- Implementing daily routines
- Ability to handle stress and reduce anxiety
- Easier social interaction and communication
- Improved Academic results
- Better Listening Skills
- Reduction in negative self defeating behaviours
- Relationships improve amongst siblings
- Better co-operation and ability to follow instructions
- More Confidence and feeling self assured
- Taking responsibility for their actions
- Being calmer and more focused
- Increased Motivation and Happiness
- Co-operation improves resulting in less arguing
Most companies focus on youth because that is where the problems are seen but we aim to educate on the value of “preventative skills training” before the teen years.
We focus on children between age 5 and 12 because this is where the most meaningful and long lasting changes can be made. We also work with toddlers and teens but our core focus is children in the “Golden Age of Learning” where the most impactful changes can be made on a neurological level. Through rewiring negative thought processes and forming healthy belief systems at this age, we can ensure that there will be long-term benefits.
All bad behaviour in a child is a sign of an unmet need so if you notice that your child starts behaving in a negative way, we recommend that you intervene before this spirals out of control.
Alongside this, you need to be alert to the signs and symptoms of stress and anxiety. The red flags to watch for are change in eating and sleeping patterns, emotional outbursts, bed wetting, and social withdrawal.
If your child is a loner or is involved with what you perceive to be the wrong kind of friends, we also recommend that you approach a coach.
Parenting can be a challenging time with the multitude of changes, demands and issues that children could be facing. Then when parents add their own problems to the mix, it could be a recipe for disaster.
So many parents spend all their time nurturing their children but they neglect the most important person in the relationship which is themselves. When this happens, it has the potential to spill over into their children’s lives and this could show up in negative behaviour.
We have a parent coaching programme called the EQual Zeal® System that was designed with the aim of supporting parents to get back into sync with their own lives so that they can better support their children. If you feel that you would benefit from coaching, we highly recommend the process as it will benefit your whole family.
We believe that for our programme to have maximum benefit, children need to willingly volunteer to attend. It is for this reason that we have a family consultation where the child is able to learn more about what coaching entails and they can experience the fun approach that we have. In this session, we empower them by allowing them the opportunity to choose if they would like to attend the coaching programme. The element of coercion and force is removed and so children easily see the benefit of attending because it is non invasive and proactive.
We recommend explaining to your child that they will only need to attend the family consultation and then after that they can make their own choice as to if they would like to continue. In our experience, children always opt in because our coaches have a natural rapport building ability that children love!
Every child and every family has individual needs and so we tailor-make the programme according to what will be of maximum benefit to your children. The factors that will determine if siblings can be coached together include age, problems being experienced and the outcomes you would like them to achieve.
We will do an individual assessment on each child in the family and if they are able to attend coaching sessions together, we highly recommend this. Not only will it allow your children to support each other, but it will also lay a foundation for a success mindset that can be nurtured as a family.
We do also offer a 4-Week family coaching programme that ensures that all family members are committed and are aware of expectations with regards to adapting their lifestyle and forming a positive mindset.
We recommend bringing your partner along to our initial family consultation before you commit to sending your child for coaching. By including them in this no obligation session, they can see first hand how the Kids Life Coaching programme works and also ask any questions they need to.
You can also show them the results of our online Kids Life Studio® Lifestyle Assessment so that they can get a snapshot in graphical format of where your child’s life may benefit from support.
Our best recommendation though is to send them to this website!
You will start noticing changes in your child within a short time frame of 2 – 4 weeks. This is because we provide take-home activities that reinforce the skills learnt in the coaching sessions. These activities require your child to use tangible tools that help to reprogram their brain with positive thought processes and habits that contribute to their overall improved mental well-being.
Our sessions are generally anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours in length depending on the type of programme your child is enrolled in. When your child is involved in individual coaching, the sessions are 45 minutes in length and group workshops are longer than this.
Once a child has built a foundation for their success mindset, we recommend enrolling them into our ongoing programmes. These are an alternative to traditional extra-mural programmes to facilitate self-development and the transfer of life skills over the long-term.

Our results are measurable and because we do a pre and post coaching online Lifestyle Assessment, we will easily be able to track progress. The only time your child will not see results is if they do not participate in the home-based programme or use the tools that they are given. The programme is structured in such a way that we guarantee results if 100% commitment is made by you and your child.

The fact that your child will already have developed a relationship with their coach means that they will be there for ongoing support and we recommend that your child also attends a 30 minute maintenance coaching session every quarter to make sure they are on track and to help them to strategise and set goals relating to their current circumstances.
Kids Life Coaching remains an unregulated profession, and with no internationally agreed regulatory body in place in this comparatively new discipline,The Kids Life Studio® has taken the lead in establishing an ethical framework within which the profession can develop. All of our Kids Life Studio® certified coaches will belong to an independent regulatory body that is relevant to their profession and country.
If you have a complaint, we recommend that you first address it directly with your child’s Kids Life Coach. If the matter cannot be resolved, you can lodge a formal complaint in writing to support@kidslifestudio.com. We do hope that this will not be necessary as since 2003, we have never had a formal complaint lodged and we take great pride in supporting children with quality service that always has their best interests at heart.
